How to Design your Lanyard with a Logo
Designing your logo lanyard isn't as hard as you might imagine. You can get help from a dedicated account manager, and while there are several decisions to make, those decisions are fairly well easy to make. The first decision is to choose the lanyard type for your logo lanyard. Will you choose the type that is designed to hang around the neck, or the type that is designed to hang from the wrist? Of course, this decision could be based on other factors, such as whether or not you will include an additional promotional item to go with the lanyard, or how you think the majority of your customers will prefer to use your logo lanyards - but this is typically the first decision that you need to make.
Next, you will need to choose a length and width for your logo lanyard. There are many choices when it comes to the length and width. You can go with a flat, wide lanyard, or you can go with a rope style lanyard. However, for promotional purposes, the flatter, wider lanyard is typically preferred because you will want printing on the logo lanyard. Of course, the longer the lanyard is, the more room you have for your business logo, name, or other information, so in most cases, the logo lanyards designed to hang around the neck are best for your business.
With the length, width, and type determined, you are ready for the actual design of your logo lanyard. The design is what will be imprinted directly on the lanyard. This may be your logo, your business name, your slogan, or anything else you desire, but this will also include the selection of colors used in the logo lanyard as well. Again, your dedicated account manager will prove to be very helpful and informative in this area, but your main focus should be that you want your logo and advertising message to stand out on the lanyard. If you already have a logo designed, and colors that customers associate with your business, this process is much faster and easier.
What to Attach to the End of your Promotional Lanyard
The next decision to be made is the type of attachment that goes on the end of the logo lanyard. This is usually a metal clip device, which the user is able to attach items to, such as a key ring. For cost purposes, however, you may want to go with a plastic attachment, although these aren't nearly as sturdy as the metal ones are. Also note that these attachments are available in different sizes, and the size that you choose will greatly depend on the next decision to be made - whether you will include an additional promotional item for your logo lanyard.
This is the point where you decide whether you want a plain logo lanyard or if you want an additional promotional item - imprinted with your logo and business information - included. There are numerous choices involved with additional items, such as whistles, pens, calculators, sports bottles, soap bottles, flashlights, and the list goes on and on. Of course, the thing you need to be aware of is the fact that additional items increase the cost - significantly in some cases, depending on the item that you choose. If you already have a product that could be attached to a lanyard, you might just want the plain logo lanyards. However, if you don't, you might consider some small promotional item to increase the usability and attractiveness of your logo lanyards.
As you can see, there really are many decisions involved when you design your logo lanyard - but in spite of this, those decisions can be easily reached if you think about what you hope to accomplish with your logo lanyard in relation to how your customers will use the lanyards.
